Important I-9 Updates - Attachments
There are several important updates to the Form I-9 process. Starting August 11, 2023, we are pleased to announce the implementation of the attachment feature on the MSS Form I-9. This enhancement aims to streamline the process by allowing the attachment of supporting documentation directly to Form I-9, which includes the ability to attach the completed E-Verify confirmation (Case Details). The MSS I-9 must be in a pending status to attach documents.
This additional feature arrives just in time for the upcoming reverification process, which is required to be completed by Aug. 30. Workforce Systems is in the process of distributing lists of I-9s awaiting reverification to College/Division I-9 Approvers with instructions.
These improvements not only enhance the efficiency of the MSS Form I-9 process, but also contribute to a more seamless experience for all parties involved.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could take note of the following guidelines:
- Please continue attaching documents such as signed offer letters, applications, resumes, and more to the MSS New Hire transaction.
- Attach the E-Verify Case Details confirmation page and the employee’s I-9 work authorization and identity documents directly to the MSS Form I-9.
- If an E-Verify takes longer to process and the MSS Form I-9 has already been approved, then please upload the completed E-Verify confirmation (Case Details) to the new Workforce Systems Secure Document Upload portal.
