FY 2023 annual moratorium dates and deadlines
Begin preparing now for the annual moratorium (May 15-June 30) on discretionary pay increases for all employee types, including student workers.
The moratorium covers all pay change reasons except promotions or transfers that have undergone competitive recruitment.
April 3 |
FY 2023 MSS Exception Requests for Incumbent Reviews (administrators, University Staff and Classified Staff) must be approved by all necessary department and college/division stakeholders and elevated to the HR Compensation team. Effective date must be prior to May 15. Requests received after April 3 will be effective July 10 or later. |
April 26 |
FY 2023 MSS Job Change and PCN changes (administrators, University Staff and Classified Staff) must be approved by all necessary department and college/division stakeholders and elevated to the HR Compensation team. Effective date must be prior to May 15. Requests received after April 26 must be effective July 1 or later. |
May 3 |
All remaining FY 2023 discretionary pay changes for faculty, student workers, graduate assistants/associates, postdoctoral scholars, service professionals and academic professionals must be approved by all necessary department and college/division stakeholders and elevated to HR Workforce Systems. Effective date must be prior to May 15. Requests received after May 3 must be effective July 1 or later. |
